Articles Guideline

Please take a look at the below article format guide for an editorial on Super Olympus.

Feel free to take your own creative path - your work doesn’t have to follow our template, it’s just here to help.

Title and thumnail

Try to include wording in your title which both creatively summarises the artilce, while also including the “SEO buzzwords” which are needed to help work stand out and be found. (For example if your article is about Star Wars, you should probaly try and have those two words in the title somewhere).

Subheading & Byline

The thumbnail image will be used on SuperOlympus.com, and any social posting for the article, so make it something cool to stand out, but still clear and relevant to the content of the article.

Here you can provide a little more context or info about the article in question, and of course your name!

Main text

This is the bulk of your article…the words part.

Article subheadings

Reading on screens can be challenging for a variety of reasons. Break up your editorial with subheadings which serve as mini titles for the next thing you’re writing about.

Socials & Links, etc

At the bottom of each article (above the website footer) we provide as many links as possible for people to follow you, find your work, or just connect with you in general.

Here are some ideas of links you can provide:

Social media handles, website URLs, online stores, Patreon/Ko-Fi (and other support-based sites/profiles), and contact details for commissions.

Please take caution in making any personal details public (such as email addresses, etc). Super Olympus cannot take responsiblity for any harm or damages that may occur through chosing to link your details via the site.

Captions for images/gifs & crediting

Using images helps to break up your text, while also providing interesting (or just fun) visual aids.

Below the image you can provide text to further expand upon a point made in the article, describe an image, or as an aside to illustrate another, smaller thought.

Crediting is very important to us, and all images in articles will be credited to the owner. When providing an image, please make sure to include who the copyright belongs to.

For example: if it’s a picture of Mario, it needs to have (Nintendo) underneath.
